Darkmoon Faire Guide

A complete guide to the Darkmoon Faire

Where and when is the Darkmoon Faire?

The Darkmoon Faire is once per month, starting at 12:01 a.m. on the Sunday before the 1st Monday of each month. This is the so called “Darkmoon Faire classic timer”, many people ask about. The location of the faire alternates between the Horde and the Alliance. For the Allicance, it is in Goldshire, just across the road left of the inn. The Horde location is outside Thunderbluff, just south-west of it.

What you can do at the Darkmoon Faire

Apart from the Item rewards and Darkmoon Decks, there are lots of fun things to do! Here’s a list of some of them:

  • Minigames: Shoot yourself through the air with a cannon or control a small battle tank and fight against other players
  • Vendors: The vendors at the Darkmoon Faire are selling some fun things, including special beer!
  • Fortune Teller: Talk to Sayge and let her tell your fortune! You’ll get a buff, and sometimes even a cool Quest.
  • Pets: You can aquire the “Unhatched Jubling Egg”, which will hatch into a cute non-combat pet.
  • Tickets & Decks: Complete repeatable quests to earn Tickets and turn them in for rewards, or gather Darkmoon Cards and complete a Deck to turn it in for an epic trinket!

It’s all about the Tickets! – Darkmoon Faire classic

As mentioned above, there are some repeatable Quests that you can do to earn “Darkmoon Faire Prize Tickets” and reputation. These can be turned in for these rewards at the vendors. However, there is a limit to this, as the amount of Tickets required increases with reputation.

  • Tier 1: 1 Ticket per quest, until 401 reputation
  • Tier 2: 4 Tickets per quest, until 1100 reputation
  • Tier 3: 8 Tickets per quest, until 1625 reputation
  • Tier 4: 12 Tickets per quest, until 2500 reputation
  • Tier 5: 20 Tickets per quest, unlimited

In order to obtain these Tickets, you can turn in many items that can be crafted by Engineers, Leatherworkers and Blacksmiths. Some of them also drop from Beasts. Here’s a list of the Ticket Quests.

Darkmoon Cards and Trinkets

There are 4 different Darkmoon Sets that you can gather. When completed and turned in, each of them rewards you with an epic Trinket. The Decks consist of 8 Cards, Ace to Eight. The Ace of each Deck has a specific drop location. All other Cards all drop from humanoids and Undead between level 45 and 60. Here they are:
