4 useful Hunter macros for Classic WoW

Why hunter macros are so useful

Especially as a hunter, macros can save you a lot of time and effort, since you have to manage your pet and yourself at the same time. In this guide, I will show you some hunter macros that I use myself, too. Very useful for PvE & PvP!

Combat initiation for hunters

#showtooltip Auto Shot
/cast !Auto Shot
/petattack
/cast Hunter's Mark

This Macro will start Auto Shot, send your pet to attack the target and cast Hunter’s Mark, all with one press of the button. It is one of the most useful macros I know. It also makes sure that Auto Shot stays active, even if you press it multiple times. If you just want a spammable Auto Shot macro, here it is:

Feign Death + Trap hunter macro

/cast Feign Death
/petpassive
/cast Freezing Trap

This one will cast Feign Death, set your pet to passive and set a Freezing Trap on the ground. You can replace the trap with any one you like, it’s just important that your pet is on passive so that it doesn’t break the trap.

Keep in mind that you have to spam this macro for it to be effective!

Wing Clip Failsafe – hunter macros

/cast Wing Clip(Rank 1)

Have you ever been in a situation where you had very very low mana and you needed to slow something? Then this hunter macro is for you! It will cast Wing Clip at the highest rank with priority, and if it can’t because you don’t have enough mana, it will try rank 2, and so on.
